Dump does not bundle the explicit consents it needs into a single general box.
Each processing activity is offered as a separate choice. Choices are managed under Settings > Privacy in the mobile app and the web app (lets.dumpapp.io). Explicit consent is not requested for purposes not listed in this text.
1. Analytics
I allow Dump to process my non-essential usage data to analyse and improve service performance.
This choice is per device. It is asked with "Allow" and "Reject" options on first launch in the mobile app and in the cookie banner in the web app, and asked again after 12 months. Unless permission is given, the analytics tool (Google Analytics for Firebase) does not run.
2. AI Features
I allow the inputs I write and record (text, voice recordings and chat messages) when I use the AI features for draft creation, text improvement, search and chat-based discovery to be sent to the AI service provider Google LLC (Gemini API, United States) solely to generate answers for me.
This permission is asked separately the first time an AI feature is used. Without it, the AI features do not work; other features are not affected. Inputs are not used to train the provider's models.
Automated moderation and classification of public content do not depend on this permission; they are explained in the KVKK Privacy Notice.
3. Commercial Electronic Messages
This permission is separate from KVKK explicit consent.
I allow commercial electronic messages to be sent to me by e-mail.
I allow commercial electronic messages to be sent to me by push notification.
At sign-up, a single optional and unticked box is offered for both channels. The channels can later be turned on and off separately under Settings > Privacy.
Obligations related to the Message Management System (İYS) are fulfilled separately.
4. Dump Promotion Permission
When Dump wants to use publicly published content on its official social media and promotional channels, it asks the content owner for separate permission for that content under Section 10 of the Terms of Use. This permission is not offered as a general setting in the app.
This permission can be withdrawn with effect for the future.
5. Device Permissions
Camera, photos, saving to the gallery, microphone, speech recognition, location and notification permissions are asked by the operating system the first time the related feature is used and can be removed in the device settings. Speech recognition is provided by the device's operating system (Apple or Google). Location is used only while the app is open, to show nearby dumps and suggest places for a step; background location permission is not requested.
Granting a device permission does not by itself mean explicit consent to the processing of personal data.
6. Withdrawing Consent
Explicit consent can be withdrawn at any time by turning off the related switch under Settings > Privacy. Every change is recorded.
Withdrawal does not invalidate processing lawfully carried out before the date of withdrawal.
