1. Deleting the Account
In the mobile app, the user can delete their account under Profile → Settings → Delete account.
On the web: lets.dumpapp.io → Settings → Delete account

2. Security Verification
Reasonable verification may be applied to prevent unauthorized account deletion.
No more personal data than necessary is requested.
3. Active Systems
Once deletion is final, the following are removed from active systems or anonymized where appropriate:
- the profile,
- follow relationships,
- content linked to the user,
- the active personalization profile.
4. Timing
- Active systems: immediately once deletion is confirmed
- Backups: 14 days
Data in backups is not restored to normal systems and is deleted as the backup cycle completes.
5. Dump Copies
If a user previously shared their content as copyable and another user created an independent dump from it, account deletion may not automatically delete that independent copy.
Nevertheless, requests based on:
- personal data,
- personality rights,
- copyright,
- trademarks,
- private life
can be made.
6. Collaborative Dumps
Content the user previously added to a collaborative dump may remain to preserve the integrity of the shared dump.
Where necessary, the username may be anonymized.
Lawful deletion requests are reserved.
7. Messages
Under normal conditions, messages of a deleted account may be deleted or anonymized according to the product design.
However, a limited copy of messages related to:
- an ongoing harassment report,
- fraud,
- a serious threat,
- child safety,
- litigation or an official investigation
may be kept in a secure system for as long as necessary.
8. Legal Retention
The following data may be kept for the required period:
- invoices and accounting,
- purchase records,
- security records,
- legal disputes,
- requests from official authorities,
- consent/refusal records for commercial messages.
This exception does not allow all user content to be kept indefinitely.
9. AI and Personalization
When the account is deleted, the personalization profile that can be linked to the user is deleted or anonymized.
Data remaining with AI providers is deleted under the contract with the relevant provider and its stated retention periods.
10. Verification Documents
Identity documents collected for age or account verification are deleted within a separately set short period once the purpose of verification ends.
They are not kept unnecessarily, regardless of the account deletion date.
11. TV Sessions
When the account is deleted, the active TV and other device sessions linked to the Dump account are ended.
12. Subscriptions
Deleting the account may not automatically end an App Store or Google Play subscription.
The user must cancel their active subscription separately in the app store.
Where possible, Dump shows an active subscription warning on the deletion screen.
13. Undo
If there is an undo period for account deletion, the user is clearly informed about it before completing the deletion.
After final deletion, the account may not be recoverable.
14. KVKK Rights
Deleting the account does not remove the user's rights under Article 11 of the KVKK.
